The Festival's Instrumental Section attracts a wide range of musicians for a lively day of music-making in solo and ensemble classes. Both brass, wind and strings are catered for, with classes providing valuable opportunities for performance and the kindly critical eye of an experienced adjudicator.
Exciting news for adult pianists!
WMAAF is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for adult pianists. We are offering the chance to take part in a masterclass with GARETH OWEN, head of piano studies at Eton College. Participants need to be at Grade 8 or above standard of playing and also must be over 18 years of age.
The master class will take place at Emmanuel Church from 10am on Friday 15th February. Entry fee is £25 and is limited to FIVE places so early application is advised.

GARETH OWEN was born in North Wales and studied at Chetham’s School of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has had a wide ranging international career as a soloist and chamber musician. Alongside his work at Eton, he also teaches in the Junior department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
